Safaree swiftly walked beside the stretcher as it was being raced into the emergency room. They rolled her onto the bed in a small white room. Safaree was instructed to stay outside of the room until further notice. Doctors were in and out of the room.Some with happy looks on their face others with serious scarce looks. About 2 hours later all the checking was done, and the doctors gave Safaree the que to come in. The doctors left and shut the door behind them. Nicki was sitting up with a water bottle in her hand. She smiled at him and he smiled back. He slowly walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. She scooted over and motioned him to come lay beside her. He kept rubbing her cheek with his thumb until she drifted into a deep sleep. Soon after he dozed off. Safaree felt something rubbing his side. He opened one eye and realized they were home. He looked to the right and saw Nicki standing there waiting for him to wake up. She had no cuts or bruises. It looked like nothing happened. Safaree simply asked "what happened yesterday?" And she laughed and said "well I went to the post office and left you here, and i came back and you were in bed." Safaree quickly jumped and said "so no accident?" she look at him confused not knowing what he was talking about and just shook her head. Safaree realized it was all a dream. A stinking dream. And laid there thanking God.
